As Cindy Connell, our Troop Committee Chair comes to the end of her term, the Troop Committee is looking for adults interested in serving the Troop as Committee Chair. The position is a 3 year commitment. The Committee Chair is appointed by the Chartered Organization Representative, but the committee provides names of those interested in the position. If you are interested in the position or need more information, please e-mail Cindy: prcon4787@aol.com no later than Sept 15, 2010 as the candidates will be submitted to our CoR Mike Doyle by Oct 1st.

Invitation to Goose Creek Scouts from Appalachian Nation of the Cherokee

The Appalachian Nation of the Cherokee have invited all scouts and families out to visit their 25th annual Pow Wow this Labor Day weekend at a local farm in Leesburg. This is your chance to participate and experience the richness of Native American culture in Scouting. All OA Arrowmen are highley encouraged to attend.

The National Council and National Capital Area Council (NCAC) are co-hosting the BSA Grand Centennial Parade! We will march from 7th to 17th Street on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, July 25. The route is set, the floats are ordered, the bands are chosen, the balloons are selected! Now what do we need for the big parade?
